Salten Smolt is located close to Bodø in northern Norway and has produced, marketed and sold smolt from its plant since 2001. The 20 year old flow-through plant has now been greatly expanded, modernized and upgraded, with the goal of doubling production to 8-10 million fry where modern RAS technology will optimize water consumption. The new plant in Breivik is 10,000 sqm with a floor area of 7.000 sqm, built by Total Betong AS.
To avoid future concrete and reinforcement damage all critical surfaces are treated with Controll Innerseal.
